Honda CR-V, Accord & Civic Wireless CarPlay Upgrade (2026)
Honda’s CarPlay integration is rock solid β but most models still require a cable. Here’s how to go wireless across the CR-V, Accord, Civic, and more.
Honda’s infotainment system offers excellent CarPlay support β adding wireless capability is straightforward with the right adapter.
Which Honda models have CarPlay?
Honda introduced Apple CarPlay across most of its lineup from 2016 onwards β making it one of the earlier mainstream brands to adopt it. The CR-V, Accord, and Civic all support CarPlay through Honda’s Display Audio system. Most models from 2016β2021 have wired CarPlay only and benefit greatly from a wireless adapter.
Honda uses a USB-A port for CarPlay on most models up to 2022. Look for it in the centre console storage bin or below the infotainment screen. The port is typically labelled with a phone/media icon. Don’t use the 12V socket or charging-only USB ports β they won’t work.

- 2022+ Honda models: Newer Hondas have USB-C ports. Ensure your adapter includes a USB-C connector or use an adaptor.
- Rear USB ports: Always charging-only on Honda. Never use them for CarPlay.
